WHAT TO WEAR TO YOUR ENGAGEMENT  SESSION.

WHAT TO WEAR TO YOUR ENGAGEMENT  SESSION.

Nov. 2016

What you get out of an engagement session all depends on the effort that you put into the planning. I get a lot of brides to be that will look at photos and dream about their own engagement sessions but if your looking at a photo of a girl in a long flowing white dress walking across sand and you show up to a park in jeans and a sweater you are not going to get what you imagined, but you could of.

The success of an engagement session is a mixture of Good attitude, a good location and the perfect outfits AND time of day.  If you want to achieve a certain look for your shoot and you don’t know where to start then ask me, your photographer, I want to help you style a look and work with you to make something great.

I try to avoid Pinterest but it's a great tool for styling ones outfits. Here's some links that I find helpful.

STYLING TIPS

1. BE COMFORTABLE AND CONFIDENT

If you don't feel awesome in what your wearing it will come across in the photos. So take your time to find an outfit that you really love.

2. MOVEMENT

A dress that moves in the wind or as you walk, hair styles, light fabric. If you see movement within a photo it will add a little extra something

3. NEUTRALS

When in doubt go with neutral colors. Light grey, creams, white, any color that is natural to nature.

4. COLOR

If you want to introduce color to your shoot I've found out a pretty easy trick to make your life easier. If your struggling to come up with colors go into your local make up shop and look at the make up Palettes. These colors are always a great starting point to developing the outfits between you and your man as well as matching to the nature colors that are happening in that time of year.

4. NO SHOES? NO PROBLEM

Worrying about what shoes to wear? Well don't. Ninety percent of your photos we're not even going to see the shoes. And your shoot is not about what type of shoes your wearing. So don't stress about it.
