As Photographer I try to get across to my clients that venue is THE MOST IMPORTANT for your wedding photography. If you have no where to do photos and you are not planning on going somewhere for photos there really is only so much that your photographer can do. In Ohio, it really matters. The Following are MY favorite and in my view the best Columbus Ohio Wedding Venues that offer the best Photo opportunity.
Here are some reasons on why your wedding venue matters so much.
1. What is in the background? Are there corn fields and parking lots in every direction?
2. If you plan on doing photos at different points of the day then you need to consider both sides of the venue. One part of the venue will be in high harsh sun , so you will need the other side to have nice places for photos as well. If not then you will need to plan around the sun.
3. Where is there to get ready? More than half of all venues do not have good spots for the bride and groom to get ready. Windows and natural light are SO important.
1. Franklin Park Conservatory
Tropical Palm Tree Paradise
Franklin Park Botanical Gardens is THE Best Ohio Wedding Venue for all year around weddings. The Palm room is a tropical paradise that makes you feel like you are in the tropics. The ceiling is glass which allows for beautiful lighting, and being inside, allows for the perfect spot for our cold months in Ohio. There is also the Desert room if you want a Colorado Arizona Vibe.

2. Club Corazon
Italian Tuscan Destination
My Second Favorite Wedding Venue in Columbus. This feels like a pocket of Italy where you can get a destination wedding without flying the guest list out of the country. FEATURES that I love; The Bridal Court yard with Greece like Columns and a Green Ivory wall in summer, A Green Lush Vineyard, and a Grand staircase with Peach Tuscan walls.

3. Jorgensen's Farms Greenhouse
Intimate Ohio Wedding
Intimate & Classy. A greenhouse wedding with a European Cocktail Garden. The Greenhouse offers a great weather worry option surrounded by a beautiful Green Courtyard. Flowers and Food are done in house by the venue, so it's a great stress free option for the bride.

4. The Wells Barn
Garden Wedding, Modern Barn
This Columbus Ohio Wedding venue is a part of Franklin Park Conservatory, but not in the botanical gardens. This is on the property past the parking offering a quite piece of nature at the Community Gardens, and the Modern Barn for your reception needs. Personally the Community Gardens reminds me of a Tuscan Parisian Garden, some of my favorite photos have been made here.

5. Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center
Elegant and Classy
This Ohio Wedding Venue is across from Highbanks Metro Park in North Columbus. This is the best venue if you want your hotel rooms and guests on the property for after the reception, everything is all right there for you. Is has a classic charm and multiple ceremony spot choices and multiple ball rooms.
