Whoever did the layout of the harry styles people magazine must hate harry styles… how did this make it to print ?

“wedding photographers are expensive!” I see a lot of the new generation of brides being price sticker shocked on quotes or going to social media to express how expensive weddings are; Let’s chat about something interesting.

I’ve photographed weddings my entire adult life 17-34 and when I was younger and in my early 20s I charged very little, as I got older my prices raised with my experience and growth. Owning a home the last year has given me a new perspective of what is “expensive” having to pay for things I don’t want to pay for but have to, does a garage door bring me joy ? No. Completely not, but did I pay it when it broke so that my car isn’t broken into yes. I remember calling my parent and bi$ching “this is expensive” but paying the same price for my Harry Styles Ticket, is an investment to my happiness and I was all smiles.

In a world where the climate of $$ is changing, I think it’s important to think “what is expensive” just a moment for thought. We all value different things. If photography isn’t one of them that’s not a wrong answer but it’s never it’s expensive it’s what do I want to spend my money on ?

I had the privilege of being one of the last to photograph a wedding in my favorite spot, the Palm room at @fpconservatory before they closed for renovations until 2027. Always a dream, and this time I had the wonderful kelley as my second shooter, which is always a pleasure.
